Youth Fellowship & Sunday School
Youth Fellowship and Sunday School meet every Sunday except the First Sunday of the month. The first Sunday is designated as Family Sunday and families are encouraged to worship with their children.
Youth Fellowship: Students grades 6 through high school meet at 9:30 on all Sundays but the first of each month. There is time provided for conversation, a game, interactive activities, and a spiritual moment. Every few weeks, this group is offered a recreational event outside of the church. Events include such activities as: a bowling trip followed by Dairy Queen, an apple pie making morning at the church to make apple pies for sale at the church fair, a Christmas shopping trip to a local mall, a pool party at Camp Putnam, a game night at church, and other activities as planned by the students and staff. All youth are welcome to join us.
Sunday School: Children ages pre-school through grade 5 meet at 10:00 o'clock on every Sunday, with the exception of the first Sunday of each month. The morning begins with a small worship service. The children are then directed to a craft and activity relating to the Bible story presented in the worship service. The first half of each year is dedicated to stories from the Old Testament such as: The Creation, Noah and the Ark, Daniel and the Lion's Den, Jonah and the Whale. The second half of the year focuses upon the New Testament and stories of the birth and life of Jesus. The intent is to teach Bible lessons in an interactive and enjoyable way. All children are welcome to join us.
Christian Education at the Oakham Congregational Church is staffed by a group of dedicated teachers who make each Sunday an inspiring and exciting experience for children. Please consider having your child/ children join us.
